NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE PROMOTION OF LOCAL SEEDS PROVIDED BY CBCS-Network IN THE PROVINCE OF MANIEMA IN THE TERRITORY OF KABAMBARE SECTOR OF BB/WAMAZA

The Congo Basin Conservation Society (CBCS-Network) aims to ensure equitable and sustainable access for local communities to local seeds, adapted to local conditions, in order to strengthen food security, climate resilience and farmer autonomy. CBCS-Network organized a campaign to raise awareness and distribute agricultural seeds to local communities in Wamaza, with the vision of creating a self-sufficient community where farmers control production, conservation and the organization of territorial markets for local seeds, in a spirit of solidarity, food sovereignty and biodiversity preservation. 
In this activity, CBCS encouraged every villager to get involved in the production and management of local seeds. Together, let's sow autonomy and reap dignity, let's value our farmers' seeds, let's strengthen our food sovereignty, let's protect our agricultural biodiversity to guarantee abundant and sustainable harvests in the fight against absolute malnutrition.
